Nikki Bailey is a comedian, actor, writer and emcee who holds a BA in Communication. She was nominated for two Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards for her work on WHYY specials, Destination: City Hall and The Next Mayor. Nikki went on to work on and write for other television productions including: Labor and Delivery (TLC), WomenDocs (Lifetime) and This Far By Faith: African-American Spiritual Journeys (PBS).
After earning a Master of Divinity degree in ethics and worship in the arts, Nikki began an acting and comedy career. With a saucy Philly attitude, Nikki tells stories about life’s lessons with irreverence, intelligence and a divinely inspired, diva-esque flare. She was a featured comedian for Loni Love’s “Laugh Off” on BET’s The Real and appeared in David Krumholtz’s IFC show, Gigi Does It. Nikki also played a supporting role in the short film, Missed Connections, that premiered at Outfest LA in 2017.
Nikki is also a corporate trainer, facilitator and coach with 10 years of experience in the corporate world. She brings her sparkly, energetic comedy to corporate trainings, team building events and conferences across the country. She’s worked with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, school boards and diversity & entrepreneurial conferences.
Nikki’s article, “Girl! I Am So Over Church!” is featured in the book, Faithfully Feminist: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Feminists on Why We Stay, and she is the author or Soul Smarts for Day Starts: 31 Days of Creative Inspiration and Activities (both available on Amazon.com).
Nikki produces and hosts Caffeine and Cackles: The Clean Open Mic at Rosebud Coffee on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 pm. She also writes and performs with WOCA (Women of Color Anonymous), a sketch comedy ensemble in-residence at UCB Sunset Inner Sanctum on the 1st Monday of each month at 8:30 pm.
